Thursday the 24th November we held our Annual General Meeting for 2020-21

During the AGM we gave two awards to two volunteers who have given up their time to help at Phab and with our foodbanks all through Covid and still now.

Laura was awarded the Chairman's award and Chris was awarded the Lion's Community Award.

We are very excited to announce that we have been granted £15,000 from the Thriving Communities Revenue Fund to fund Thursday Youth Club from September.

This is fantastic as it means we are able to continue to run our fabulous youth club!

Hounslow Phab Youth Centre is delighted to announce that we have been awarded a Youth Centre Recovery Grant from The Julia and Hans Rausing Trust for £19,520

Julia and Hans Rausing commented: “The last year has been incredibly difficult for young people, whose education and social lives have been severely interrupted by the pandemic. Youth Centres play a vital role in providing young people with educational, leisure and social opportunities. “We are delighted to be supporting charities across the country that can make a real difference in their local communities and have a positive impact on young people’s life chances.”

It has been a very different 18 months at Hounslow Phab due the Covid-19 pandemic. One minute we were locked down then due to open then closed again! We couldn't keep up!

To reduce boredom and isolation we ran a Zoom Youth Club each week on a Thursday.

We ran quizzes, disco's, treasure hunts, games and life skills sessions. We all had a lot of fun!

See our photo gallery for our Zoom photos!

Update September 2020

Staff and volunteers at Hounslow Phab have been very busy during the Covid-19 pandemic providing a food bank and food distribution service from Hounslow Youth Centre. We have received many donations from people in the local community as well as from Costco and City Harvest. The food is then sorted and re-packed and then distributed to those in need. During the first few weeks of lock down West Middlesex Hospitals staff canteens were closed so the staff, nurses and Doctors were unable to get meals. We donated food weekly to help them during this time. We have also been helping many local families as well as a residential care home, Hounslow Soup Kitchen, The Open Kitchen and Food with Love.

Thanks to a grant from WRAP we have been able to have two vehicles running to distribute food, bought PPE to keep us all safe and buy a super large chest freezer and another fridge freezer.

We are delighted to announce that we have been awarded a grant of £9168 from the National Lottery Awards for All!!
This will enable us to run our Youth Projects for all of our Young People!
This money is raised from all of you who play the National Lottery!
Thank you!!
